I remember growing up when my mother would tell me that the older she got, the faster time seemed to fly by. And after celebrating her 82nd birthday yesterday (attitude of gratitude for my resilient genes), she again stated that she couldn’t believe how fast life seemed to have flown by her.
I think we all share in this same sentiment and opportunity for reflection this time of year – how is it the end of the year already?!
My sincere hope is that we are all slowing down over the holidays to mindfully go deeper into our reflections as to what truly transpired in 2024, in all of the areas of our performance that matter the most to us individually, in a way that helps us audit how we invested our finite, valuable resources of time, energy, and focus.
This, in fact, is how we slow the game down, just enough, to mindfully check, vet and validate that we are truly making our investments count – that we are making the most of the time, energy and focus we are blessed to have left to invest in meaningful ways that ensure we make it count.
When we take time to audit our impact like this before the 2024 shot clock runs out, it primes our mindset in the following meaningful ways:
- it helps us appreciate where we made the greatest impacts this year (banking that proof and evidence not only shows us what’s working / where we are in alignment with our mission, vision, goals and values, but also helps us build confidence and courage for the year of growth and impact ahead)
- it illuminates where we are off track with our mission, vision, goals and values (by showing us where our choices were incongruent/where we are self-sabotaging in our behaviours), and thus, tees up our growth zone for the year ahead
- it shows us where our greatest opportunities lie in terms of where we need to try something new, change it up and innovate in our day to day experience (by inspiring us to add, incorporate, choose new avenues to exercise towards our mission, vision, goals and values)
You see, I’ve made it my personal mission to use mindset strategy architecture to slow time down just enough, to ensure I make every performance count. Practicing mindful exercises like this one is one of the best / most effective ways to ensure life doesn’t fly by / pass you by, leaving you with any regrets – or as we used to say in the hockey locker room “ensuring we leave it (our max potential) all on the ice.”
I truly believe that this is what the world needs from us high-performing, heart-centric human beings more than anything right now – for us to collectively step through the portal of powerful potentiality that is self-leadership 2.0.
I hold a powerful aspirational vision for us all as we move into 2025, one where we awaken the collective unconsciousness in this deeply intentional, meaningful, mindful 2.0 way, and which can unlock the collective untapped potential that holds the potentiality to heal / solve for the world’s greatest challenges (economically, ecologically, psychologically and societally).
And I need your help as I set out alongside our Elite Dream Team of 2.0 coaches on this 2025 mission.
Rising tides lift all boats (as I was taught in school), and I truly believe this will be our most important legacy as a generation of 2.0 self-leaders – the world is ready for us to change the way this game is being played forever.
Who’s ready to align with this mission and vision of mine and help be that change we wish to see in our world, in our lifetime?….
Your highest potential is our passion here at Team Elite, so let’s go, let’s unleash it together here in 2025!
