One of my favorite non-fiction books is Atomic Habits, by James Clear. His clear, to-the-point writing and illustrations elicit new insights for me both personally and as a coach each time I read it. One such insight is around how much we are impacted by the people around us. He says “One of the most effective things you can do to build better habits is to join a culture where your desired behavior is the normal behavior. New habits seem achievable when you see others doing them every day”. We all have examples where this, and the reverse, is clearly true in our lives and in the workplace. For example, if our work culture is positive and focused on excellence, it’s more likely we will be also. Similarly, if we go out to lunch every day with a group who constantly complains about everything going on at the office, the likelihood is higher that we’ll start taking on that negative viewpoint and acting accordingly.
Team Elite is a huge believer in the power of community. It is a foundational aspect of our group programs. Before I joined Elite as a coach, I was an Elite client and took part in three different year-long Elite mastermind groups with like-minded people; the relationships that were fostered, without a doubt, helped (and still help) me grow significantly more than I ever would have on my own. As coaches, we often hear “What’s next” or “How can I keep this going?” after our corporate group programs. Our clients enjoy expanding their mindset and leadership skills while developing relationships that fuel their performance. They want to keep that momentum going.
This week, Elite released something brand new, The Legacy League, an online community designed to provide a culture of learning, support, accountability, and growth for people who want to build and expand their high-performance mindset and leadership skills. We are leveraging the power of culture and community to help people build and drive momentum toward leading, not just leaving, a Legacy. With new learning from the Elite coaches each week, and ongoing discussions with like-minded people from around the globe, The Legacy League is a next-level way to drive motivation and inspiration in 2024.
Per another great quote from James Clear – “Nothing sustains motivation better than belonging to the tribe”. We want you to join our tribe, and as such, you can try it free for 60 days. For more information, please visit https://elitehighperformance.com/legacyleague.
