The need for support, guidance and objective perspective. These are HUMAN needs. Becoming a leader does not suddenly exclude us from these needs, although sometimes there is a false perception that that’s the case.


Think about it…


To believe that we can do it all on our own, and that we don’t need leadership, support and guidance is to downplay the value of the very things that we are most passionate about doing for others as leaders.


We invest so much of our time and energy into supporting others and helping them understand their potential beyond the limitations of their own subjectivity… and we do it because we genuinely believe that, as leaders, our support and guidance can:

-expand people’s potential 

-enhance their performance 

-improve the quality of their lives


And we don’t only believe these things,  we have seen them play out for those we lead. 


It’s the most rewarding feeling and selfishly, it’s why we keep investing our time and energy into others. Because coaching WORKS.


BUT, If we truly believe in the power of coaching others, why do we not actively pursue opportunities to be coached? 


At the end of the day, coaching is just as impactful to a leaders’ performance as it is to the performance of those we lead.
