When we’re being reactive as Leaders, we can get caught in fire-fighting mode or start blaming people for the problems that are occurring.
This level of thinking may enable us to fix one-off problems in the moment, but it also prevents us from ever being able to solve the latent roots of the problems we encounter, which sets us up to repeat the same business process failures again in the future.
As leaders, we need to challenge ourselves to get down to the latent roots of the problems we encounter, so that we can learn from the problems we face, which requires changes to systems.
This requires us to think at a systems level.
On this week’s The Leadership Launchpad Project, Tom Miller, the COO of Small Batch Standard, joins the show to talk about how to apply systems thinking and continuous improvement to leading a business. Check it out here.
Help us spread the Leadership 2.0 mission by leaving us a rating & review on Apple Podcasts and sharing the podcast with your tribe.
Also, if you’d like to ask a question about leadership, management, and/or mindset, drop it in the Apple review, and Rob Kalwarowsky and I will answer it on the show.
Your highest potential is our passion, so let’s unleash it together!
