This week we’re going to feature Lauren Williams, our principal Mindset Brain Trainer for Athletes at Team Elite.
Lauren is a mental performance coach who focuses in working with Elite level youth athletes on issues such as confidence, anxiety, and self-esteem through the development of supportive, positive, and effective thought patterns.
A former division 1 hockey player for the Wisconsin Badgers and a current professional hockey player with the PWHPA, Lauren has cultivated a unique coaching style that utilizes the best of her experiences from her almost 20 year playing career and her education. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with degrees in Psychology and Sociology (B.A) and Springfield College in Counseling (M.Ed), Lauren looks to help athletes not only become better, more consistent athletes but also happier people.
Lauren says…
“How do high performers break through big obstacles?
By breaking them down into small, actionable steps. By figuring out what they can do to impact their situation, they get to work and they progress.
Looking at the big picture can be daunting and intimidating. It can cause even the best of high performers to experience what we call analysis paralysis. The task is so great that all we can do is think about how great it seems, how hard it will be do affect change.
But when we look at the big picture as a series of puzzle pieces that we can move and adjust, the overall task becomes manageable!
If you feel like you’re experiencing analysis paralysis looking at the big picture of this COVID experience, ask yourself: what can I do to break this into smaller, reasonable, and actionable tasks? And you’ll be on your way to thinking the way a High-Performer does!”
Lauren offers 1 Month of one-on-one coaching to execute weekly action plans and realize performance goals. Book https://elitehighperformance.janeapp.com/?fbclid=IwAR1hYTV9R0w8uiOirGgqSNn_Dz49P1i5TbA-wtjLZaCLBzfZ9j9ZZ0Q3y5A#/discipline/4/treatment/17
