Happy Monday,
This past week presented quite a bit of challenge in my household and I can hardly wait to share it with you so that you can benefit from what I learned from it.
Not only did I learn from it, but it left me and my relationship with my daughter even stronger.
Brooklyn headed into a grade one and a new school, which I’m sure you can imagine was quite intimidating for her little brain.
When any of us face anything new, it can be difficult to know how to prepare to face it.
It brought about all kinds of questions for her to have to answer, like:
– How will I meet new friends?
– Can I handle the discomfort of being in new surroundings?
– Do I have what it takes to be able to rise to the challenges of a new grade level?
– How will I solve the problems that arise without the support of the people I know and trust?
I’m sure you can relate to some of these questions, as could I. So I thought to myself, what tools can I reach for in my toolbox to support the little one I love oh so much?
Thankfully I have spent over a decade investing in building my performance toolbox!
In this week’s ‘MoMonday Video: How to Nurture a Strong Connection with Others (click here to watch),’ I show you the strategy I used to make sure I support my little one (and myself) through an incredibly challenging situation.
As I always say, adversity CAN be opportunity when your mindset is well trained and is set in the right direction.
That’s the benefit of training your mental strength – adaptability and resiliency when faced with what life throws your way.
In this week’s training video, I show you how my mindset and my high-performance strategy turned this challenging situation into an opportunity for growth in our relationship.
Doing so made our connection even stronger and I assure you, that if you utilize this strategy in any important relationship in your life, that it will do the very same thing for you.
Until next time, make every performance count!
