Sometimes, life can get so hectic, even the strongest of us fall off track with our self-supportive decision-making.
Typically, I work hard at achieving my 10/10 health goals by exercising regularly, fuelling my body with the right foods, drinking loads of water getting 6-8 hours of sleep a night. Over the years of high-performance training, this has been a formula that has supported me in reaching that finish line every day.
A few days ago I woke up without a voice. I can’t even remember the last time that I had laryngitis…given that my voice is my tool for coaching, I was forced to the sidelines to regroup.
Sometimes, when life gets too busy, and we miss the emotional warning signs (stress for example), our bodies manifest the message. Mine sure did.
So how do we get to the root of the problem so that we can strategically solve the problem and get back in the game?
In this week’s ‘MoMonday Video: Conscious Connection’ (click here to watch), I use myself as the case study, showing you exactly the tool I reached for in my performance toolbox.
Ideally, this is a tool that you will use proactively to stay in tune to your performance. Doing so routinely will help you problem solve further upstream, saving you valuable resources of time and energy.
However, if you find yourself like me, guilty of slipping into unawareness mode inadvertently, consciously connecting with your intuition is the perfect fix.
Remember, awareness always comes before intelligence-you can’t solve what you don’t acknowledge my high-performance friend.
Until next time, make every performance count!
