What comes up for you when you think about being vulnerable?
Is vulnerability a bad thing? A painful thing? Or considered a weakness to you?
I have a client whom I am currently working with who came to me for help in her career. She has achieved a lot in her professional path thus far, but has recently found herself all of a sudden hitting the glass ceiling.
She says she’s never worked harder, but isn’t seeing the return on investment she desires.
In an effort to get her to connect inward, so that we can get at the unseen roadblocks hiding beneath the surface in her brain, I have her doing an exercise that requires she be vulnerable with herself.
She came back through the door this past week with tons of resistance (which was no surprise to me), the human brain doesn’t always liked to be challenged in this way, especially when it has all the wrong associations going on.

In working with thousands of human brain’s over the last decade, I will tell you that this particular performance roadblock is one that I see a lot in my high-achieving clientele.
That being said, it is one that ALWAYS prevents growth and actualizing on your highest degree of potential, in every area of high-performance.
Therefore, it is a roadblock that none of us can afford NOT to tackle head on when in pursuit of those really important performance roadblocks.
