Happy Monday,

Come on outside and play with me today my high-performance friend as I come at you in the midst of one of the most important self-loving routines that I have.

As an entrepreneur, I always speak about how one of my greatest motivational drives is the freedom of time, that working hard consistently on my business affords me-time to do what is MOST important to me.

That is why taking random Monday mornings off to get outside and explore with my ‘Why Factor’ (the purpose behind my motivational drive being as high as it is), my daughter Brooklyn Hope, is such an imperative part of my self-love and self-care routine.

Let me explain the connection.

Self-love and self-care is all about doing what you need to do to make sure that you are making time in your busy schedule to do what is most important to you-doing so is like fuel for the soul and the brain. If you aren’t meeting those crucial needs (doing what you need to do to feel the way you want to feel), what good are you to your work or to everyone else?

There is nothing more motivational than feeling the way you want to feel (I call those your ‘Core Desired Feelings’ remember from previous videos). The brain seeks pleasure and when you incorporate self-love and self-care activities that help you feel the way you want to feel on the daily or even the weekly, you are supporting and sustaining a state of motivational drive (as is clearly seen in my state in this week’s video seen here).

I can’t even begin to tell you how many of my high-achiever clients fail to see the value in this high-performance strategy. Most of them run on what I refer to as the ‘success despite themselves’ pattern (driving themselves hard to achieve at all costs without taking time to self-support). Please know that this pattern is not sustainable in the long run my high-performance friends.
